Each week a new student is picked at random to be our star student. We then write a story about the student by asking questions. We get to know facts about every child as we work on letter formation, story structure, punctuation, sight words, phonetics, recognition, reading, and memorization...


The next day the star student has a chance to show special items to the class while presenting more

information about him or herself. The story and items are displayed in the classroom creating a sense of ownership.
